Description: Ontario Works offers the following: Financial Assistance – Monthly allowance based on family size, housing costs and income with a monthly drug benefit card. Housing Stability Plan – To assist OW and ODSP clients and low-income individuals with housing related costs such as rent arrears, utilities arrears and other supports needed to assist people in their homes or transition them to housing. People should contact the OW Application line or their OW/ODSP Case Worker for more information. Employment Assistance – Clients 18-65 years must participate in employment assistance activities unless they are living with a serious disability or illness, or caring for preschool children. Employment Resource Centre – walk-in job search centre that provides access to computers, Internet, fax, photocopier, telephone. OFfers assistance with resumes and referrals to job counselling and training. Learning, Earning and Parenting (LEAP) – helps young parents finish high school, improve parenting skills, locate and maintain employment.
