Description: Onsite Nurse Practitioner Clinic is available 5 days a week at our East-end site. However, the Nurse Practitioner Clinic will also be at the Main Site at certain times. The Nurse Practitioners have the authority to diagnose and treat common illnesses, prescribe certain medications, and order certain laboratory and diagnostic tests. The Nurse Practitioner can also perform physical check-ups and annual exams, provide health promotion and prevention education to individuals and families and make referrals to family physicians, specialists, and other health care professionals. The nurse can see any client of the Multicultural Council who does not have a family doctor, regardless of age or gender.
