Description: This site delivers the Job Connect legacy services only and is not providing the new employment services.  They offer employment counseling services, access to Job Connect, workshops available on job search techniques and program information and an application site for the Second Career Strategy.   There are three service components tailored to meet individual needs: Information and Resource Service (IRS) — workshops, information and resources on careers and occupations, the local labour market, training opportunities and job search strategies.  Information on apprenticeship training and resources for internationally trained individuals seeking employment consistent with their skills and experience Employment Planning and Preparation (EEP) — individual support to clarify employment needs and develop an action plan, assist with making decisions, and searching for a job Job Development and Placement Support (JDPS) — placements into employment for work experience and/or on-the-job training Summer Jobs Service (SJS) — for students 15-24 years (up to 29 for persons with disabilities) they offer job search training, assistance developing self-marketing skills, job placements up to 16 weeks from April to end of September and wage subsidies for employers

Employment Planning and Preparation (EEP) and Job Development and Placement Support (JDPS) -- persons 16 years and over, out of school and out of work, and not receiving Employment Insurance benefits.

Fees: Some service fees apply, call for assistance
