Primary Need: Advocacy/Support, Employment

Description: Helps Ontarians find sustainable employment with assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience, job search strategies, including resume preparation. They will provide information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities, on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment. There is access to Second Career program to provide laid-off workers with skills training for high-demand occupations and information about, and referral to, other community services and supports. Incorporates services previously provided through Job Connect, Employment Assistance Services (EAS), Employment Resource Centres and other programs. Employment Planning and Preparation: individual support to clarify employment needs and develop an action plan, assist with making decisions, and searching for a job. Job Development and Placement Support: placements into employment for work experience. Job Coaching on-the-job training supports and job maintenance supports. Free access to computers and internet also available.
